To log on to the portal- Go  to www.dadeschools.net and then click on student then click on the red log into portal tab. Then click on the green log into student portal tab and Then enter your username and password. Your password is your 2 digit birth month followed by 4 digit birth year follwoed by the letters pw. Example if you were born in February of 1981 then your password would be 021981pw.

Reading Plus- To log on to reading plus you must log on to your portal then towards the bottom of the screen click on the reading plus logo. If you have problems logging on to the portal you have to go on through www.readingplus.com. For  instructions on entering that way visit my mater site. You must complete 3 sessions per week. 

Home learning: reading plus 3 sessions. Starting the week of sept. 20 every student must complete 3 sessions of reading plus per week. I will check Sunday night at 10:00 pm to make sure.

Story Starter Writing Prompt:  chose a change in your own life that involved some kind of conflict t it.Think about that change or any other change in your life. Now think about

someone else who was involved in or witnessed the change. It does not necessarily have to be someone with whom you had a disagreement. How would that person’s viewpoint about the change be different from yours? In the space below, write how the story would differ if it were told from your perspective and from the other person’s perspective.

Use the prewriting we did in class. Remember to have a hook (aqqs) in the first papragraph. and dont start your incident right away.
